Violet Moss (neƩ Croasdaile)'s photos
Photos from Violet Moss' photo album.  I suspect that many if not all were taken by Jack Croasdaile, Violet's brother.  THey have been arranged one page to a row, in the order they appear in the album.   There is no indication of the dates, so we can only surmise.  The photo of Jack Croasdaile in his naval uniform (page 4) shows him as a second officer; this places the time between 1923 and 1934.  He was working on the Cunard liners on the north Atlantic route ; as some of these photos are in Wellington and the Panama canal I suspect that these are the early 20s.  We know he was 3rd officer on the Virgilia when it called at Auckland in December 1920.  In a newspaper article in the Otago Daily Times it states that "Mr W Battle DSC RD, who is chief officer of the Virgilia...".  Two of the photos of a fellow officer are captioned "Battle", so this maybe suggests early 1920s for the early photos.  Avril thinks that the cottage is near Lake Vyrnwy.
Photos include Panama Canal, Colon, W Battle, Wellington, a Welsh place or cottage name ("Brynddwydd"?), the Menai Bridge.
